Meet Jill

Jill Simpson has dedicated her life and career to serving the people of Sandusky County. A lifelong advocate for community, families, and economic opportunity, Jill has spent more than three decades bringing people together to solve problems, strengthen organizations, and improve the quality of life for local residents.

Jill has spent over four years serving as President & CEO of United Way of Sandusky County, where she has lead efforts to strengthen local partnerships, support nonprofit organizations, and address the community’s most pressing needs. Throughout her career, she has built a reputation as a collaborative leader who listens, brings people together, and delivers results.

Jill also served as President & CEO of the Chamber of Commerce of Sandusky County, where she worked closely with businesses, community leaders, and economic development partners to promote growth and opportunity throughout the region. Her professional experience also includes leadership roles in workforce development, higher education, public health, disability services, and nonprofit management.

Jill earned her Master of Business Administration from Tiffin University, graduating with distinction, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Heidelberg University. She has spent her career serving on numerous boards and community organizations dedicated to improving the lives of others.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Jill’s greatest pride is her family. She and her late husband, Brian Simpson, raised two sons, Justin and Jerrod. Today, Jill enjoys spending time with her son Jerrod, his wife Andrea Gaona, and her first grandchild, Luca, who has brought tremendous joy to her life.

Jill believes that strong communities are built through service, collaboration, and responsible leadership. She is running for County Commissioner because she believes Sandusky County’s best days are ahead, and she is committed to working every day to create opportunities for families, businesses, and future generations.

For more than 30 years, Jill has dedicated her career to serving the people of Sandusky County through leadership, collaboration, and community service. She has worked alongside businesses, nonprofits, educators, healthcare leaders, and local families to solve problems and create opportunities.

Now, Jill is ready to bring that experience, leadership, and commitment to the Sandusky County Commissioner’s office.

Jill is committed to building a stronger future for our communities, supporting economic growth, protecting taxpayer resources, and ensuring Sandusky County remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
